Bickersteth, Pauline Jeanette 4/4/1931 - 3/23/2021 Flint Township Pauline Jeanette Bickersteth, age 89 of Flint Township, MI passed away on March 23rd from complications due to Alzheimer's Disease. She was born on April 4, 1931 in Flint, MI and graduated from All Saints High School. She worked at The Flint Journal and also as an Administrative Assistant at Chevrolet, where she eventually retired. During her initial retirement years, she enjoyed traveling the United States via RV with her husband, Art. The remainder of her free time was spent volunteering for anything and everything related to veterans' causes. She served as President of the P.L.A.V Women's Auxiliary, and was a proud member of the American Legion along with Art, where they contributed their time and talents to numerous activities, committees, and projects. She was also a past member of The Advisory Council at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI, and a life-long member of Dom Polski, where she enjoyed making golombki and pierogi with her Polish friends/family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Phillip Stark, sister Jackie, first husband, Norbert Sprygada, and second husband, Arthur Bickersteth. She leaves behind her daughter, Constance "Connie" (Sprygada) Kelliher, son-in-law, Kevin, and granddaughters Regan and Shea all from Massachusetts, as well as nephews, nieces, and very dear close friends. There will be a celebration of Pauline's life on Thursday, June 17th at 11:00 am, followed by interment at Great Lakes National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Alzheimer's Association at www.alz.org. Please remember to buy a poppy on Memorial Day and think of her. She was the poppy selling queen outside of the GM factories!
