Carmela Di Bella

Carmela Di Bella, 88, passed away on March 20, 2026. Born on July 27, 1937, Carmela will be remembered as a generous, gentle, selfless, kind-hearted, and thoughtful woman whose steady presence brought comfort to those around her.

Carmela was the beloved wife of the late Paul. She was the loving mother of John R. (Lisa) DiBella, Paul A. (Terri) DiBella Jr. and the late Theresa DiBella. She was the cherished grandmother of Ruaziaro DiBella, Paul DiBella III, John Robert DiBella II, Kayla DiBella and Brandon DiBella. She was the dear sister of Vicky Di Somma and Marie (Emmanuel) DiSena.

Carmela loved her family, especially spending time with her grandchildren. She enjoyed going on fishing trips with the family and was always there for everyone—always willing to listen and always ready to help. Carmela also loved to watch General Hospital, and her family knew not to call her during that hour.

Visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358, on March 26, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, March 27, 2026 9:30am, at St. Andrew Avellino RC Church, 35-60 158th, Flushing, NY 11358. Interment to follow at Mt. St. Mary's Cemetery, 172-00 Booth Memorial Avenue, Flushing, NY 11365.
