Charles J. Doheny

Charles was a beloved son, brother, uncle, and great-uncle. He was known for his caring nature, generous spirit, and great sense of humor. He retired after 44 years of dedicated service as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Ozanam Hall Nursing Home, where his kindness and compassion left a lasting impact on many.

Charles had a special bond with his dog, Bubba, who brought him great joy and companionship. He also had a fondness for a good bottle of cologne and a perfectly mixed Apple Martini, often sharing his love for these simple pleasures with family and friends.

Charles is survived by his siblings, Kelly Minutillo and her husband Michael, and Sean Doheny and his wife Laurie, along with his nieces and nephews, Kristen, Sean, Gina, Andrew, Thomas, Briana, Kristina and Michael; great-nieces, and great-nephews, Thomas Giovanna, Sean, Aiden, James, Lucy and Michael. He was predeceased by his parents, Charles and Marjorie. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

A visitation for Charles will be held Wednesday, November 13, 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Quinn Fogarty Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 215-35 38th Ave, Bayside, NY 11361. The interment will follow on Thursday, November 14, 2024 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Mount St. Mary Cemetery, 172-00 Booth Memorial Ave, Flushing, NY 11365.
