Doris passed from her earthly life to her eternal life on August 11th with her son by her side, at age 95. She passed in comfort, peace, and with no pain at hospice. She was predeceased by her mother Marion Kurt and father Martin Graf, her sister Lynn Schreiber, her brother Marty Graf, her first husband John C. Spring, and her second husband George F. Seuffert. She is survived by her son John E. Spring and members of the Graf, Kurt, Schreiber, Romano, Stavropoulos, Harris, Seuffert, Frank, and Spring family. Doris had a long, active, and wonderful life. Always smiling and laughing. She greatly enjoyed fine food and wine, holiday celebrations, art, classical music, reading, and travel. She worked at Kress Department Store in New York City as a lunch counter server, at a dental office, and at Modern Art Foundry. Later in life, with her husband George, she helped with activities relating to Seuffert Band Concerts. Her hardest and best job was being a wonderful mother to her son John, who was a handful. No pay, but lots of love, thanks, and appreciation for all her guidance, wisdom, and instilling morals and the values of empathy, tolerance, acceptance, and respect. As requested, there will be direct cremation. There will be a memorial visitation and memorial service. Please, casual attire. Please, limit flowers or plants, and instead consider making a donation to Ronald McDonald House, Queens Public Library, or any children's health or veterans' organization.
A Memorial Visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, located at 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358, on September 4, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Memorial Service will take place at the same venue on September 4, 2025, from 6:30 pm to 7:00 pm.
