

Edith E. Hubar, 78, born September 25, 1947, in the Philippines, passed away on April 21, 2026. A resident of Fresh Meadows, New York, Edith will be remembered with deep respect and enduring gratitude for a life marked by steady devotion, quiet strength, and faithful service to others.
For many years, Edith served as an elementary school teacher, offering young students not only instruction, but also the patient guidance and care that shape lives in lasting ways. Her commitment to her vocation reflected a sincere sense of purpose and a generous spirit—one that found meaning in daily work and in the simple, important task of helping children learn and grow.
A devoted Catholic, Edith’s faith was a constant presence throughout her life, grounding her with humility and grace and guiding the way she loved, served, and persevered.
Edith was the beloved wife of Jeffrey Hubar and the loving mother of Michael Hubar. Her presence within her family was steady and cherished, and the love she gave will remain a lasting comfort to those who mourn her.
Visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358, on April 26, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 7:00 PM.
