Elda Montano

Elda Montano, a beloved and cherished resident of Flushing, New York, passed away on October 15, 2025, at the remarkable age of 105. Born on January 16, 1920, Elda was a faithful, hard-working and inspirational presence in the lives of all who knew her.

Elda was the beloved wife of the late Joseph C. Montano. She was a loving mother to Vincent (Maryellen) Montano, Linda (Veronica) Montano, and Joseph (Patricia) Montano. Elda was a cherished grandmother to Vincent, Kerry, Gregory, Jill, Katie, Daniel, and Laura. She was also the adored great-grandmother of Michael, Emma, AJ, Ayden, Christopher, Hailey, Timothy, Sophia, Alex, Samantha, Gabby, Cristian, Joey, Anthony, and Marlee. Elda was the dear sister of the late Nydia Natale.

Elda's great-grandchildren were her pride and joy, keeping her vibrant and spirited through her 105 years. She had a passion for "Dancing with the Stars" and was a devoted New York baseball fan, with a special allegiance to the Yankees.

Visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, located at 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358, on October 17, 2025, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and again from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Kevin's RC Church, 45-21 194th St, Flushing, NY 11358, on October 18, 2025, at 9:45 am. Interment will follow at Mount St. Mary Cemetery, 172-00 Booth Memorial Ave, Flushing, NY 11365.

Elda will be greatly missed by her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those she touched.
