Joan was born in Gneeveguilla, County Kerry, Ireland, to Michael and Abbey Kelleher. She immigrated to the United States in the 50s, where she met the love of her life, Gerard “Gerry” Wilson. They were married in 1959 and shared a devoted life of 65 years together, raising their two sons, Gerard and Michael.
Joan was known for her famous chocolate chip cake, her impeccable sense of style, her love of shopping, and above all, her deep devotion to her family. Her warmth, grace, and loving spirit will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Joan was the beloved wife of Gerard Wilson; a loving mother to Michael Wilson and his wife Lynn Wilson; and a cherished grandmother to Ashley Remington and her husband John Roscoe Remington. She was a proud great-grandmother to Mia Remington and Morgan Remington. Joan was preceded in death by her beloved son Gerard Wilson, and brother Denis Kelleher.
