To Mrs. Pavone and Family:

On behalf of the Administration, Faculty and Staff of Queens College, we would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Pavone and her family on the passing of her beloved husband, John.

May he Rest in Peace,

Johnny was so even-tempered with a great sense of humor.   I never remember him getting mad at anything.  He was always interested in hearing how you were doing, while downplaying the great things he did as a social worker and musician.  I remember Johnny and Bonnie invited the Orellana family over to the apartment, because they loved sharing their time with family in friends.  I took the picture I am attaching at their apartment, at a Pavone and Orellana family gathering.  I want to remember Johnny with that smile on his face, maybe after making a witty remark.  To Bonnie and the Pavone sisters, my sincerest condolences.  I know there are so many happy memories that will console you, and Johnny is resting in peace with Mom and Dad.      

John May you Rest In Peace . You will be missed by all . You are now at peace and your suffering is over . You were a tremendous fighter . Bonnie was there every second for you . She will miss you so

I can’t believe you are gone!! Being Irish twins we had that special bond, a bond that will never be broken!

I will miss your smile, your laugh, our calls & texts, but most of all I will miss the love that you showered everyone with. You fought so bravely, never complaining along the way, even on your worst days! You taught me to love life, you were a true inspiration! You will forever be my hero, next to Daddy! 

You will live on in my heart, you will never be forgotten! I love you Bubba. Save a seat next to you for me for when it’s my turn.

Johnny.  I will always remember singing  while you played piano.  Listening to music and dancing in your room.  You taught me to appreciate all music. I will remember as kids the fun we had playing and swimming in the pool and how you saved me when I thought I was drowning.  I will always remember your talent for drawing & painting and your love of art.  I will remember the Christmas eves when you opened your home to anyone & everyone. I will remember how you taught me how to cook over FaceTime during the pandemic.  I have all the recipes in a book. I will remember how you opened your heart to everyone you met.   You taught me not to judge people and to treat everyone will love.  I will remember your jokes and how you made me smile and laugh.  I will remember your strength in the face of your illness and how you rarely complained. You taught me that life is short and needs to be lived fully.  I will remember how you taught me how to love unconditionally.  I will try to live as you did, loving openly, laughing often, and living fully.  
I know you are in a better place but I will
