Jose J. Trejos

Jose J. Trejos, beloved husband of Maria Trejos, died on February 13, 2026. He was born on May 19, 1929 in Pereira, Colombia. He emigrated to New York City in 1962, met Maria Cabrera in 1968, and they were married in 1969. His son, Daniel, was born in May of 1970. His daughters, Anne Lucille Guerrero and Nancy Trejos followed.

He was reliable and generous to all his family and friends. He was an avid reader and loved sports, especially soccer. He grew to love being an American Citizen and was a fierce defender of his family.

Visitation services will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, located at 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358, on February 19, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at Saint Andrew Avellino Roman Catholic Church, located at 35-60 158th St, Flushing, NY 11358, on February 20, 2026, from 9:30 am to 10:30 am.

Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, located at 49-02 Laurel Hill Boulevard, East Elmhurst, NY 11377 on February 20, 2026.
