Margaret lived in Jamaica her whole life, moving only one block away from her parents when she purchased her first home. At the age of 20, she married her late husband, John V. Ford, and built a home grounded in faith, hard work, and enduring love.
A cherished mother and homemaker, Margaret was devoted to her children: Patricia Columbus of Edison, NJ; Margaret Masessa (Daniel) of Montville, ME; Kerry Zorn (Bob) of Levittown, NY; and her late son, John H. (Debbie).
Her family continued to grow and remained the center of her heart. She is survived by nine grandchildren: Brian Ford (Emma), Christopher Ford (Keely), Jennifer Fitzpatrick (Daniel), Kristin Green (Michael), Brittany Shaw (Jonathan), Michael Columbus, Jacqueline Columbus, Tyler Zorn, and Shannon Zorn. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren—Caera, Liam, and Erin Fitzpatrick; Kinley Shaw; Finley Ford; Marina and Maya Ford; —each dearly loved and held a special place in her heart.
Margaret treasured summers at the family’s camp in Maine, where traditions were formed and wonderful memories created. She was also deeply devoted to her faith and church community, especially Holy Family in Fresh Meadows, and she valued the companionship and fellowship of the St. Kevin's Senior Club.
Margaret was predeceased by her brother, Warren Travers.
