My "other" Mom, my friend, my Aunt, my Godmother, how can I ever repay you for what you gave me, or express my gratitude? My deepest comfort is that I know you are at peace, a peace you deserve more than anyone I've ever known. Your kindness and beauty touched the world and made it a better place. Dearest Family...I am so terribly saddened by your loss and ours, too, here at Bethel United Methodist Church. Your Mama was such a big part of my life as we shared time at McElveen while your Dad was there.  If she took something to your Dad, she took it to all the residents, including my husband Jimmy.  I met most of you when your Dad passed away. Please know that you are all in my prayers and I send you all my love.  I loved your Mama very much.  God bless her and all of you...Kathy Lowder

We have missed Ms Peggy since she moved away but what a delight that she continued to send her delightful cards without fail! God bless her! She is well and resting in peace now!

Peggy was always such a joy to have as part of our Bethel UMC family here in SC.  She was at every church event and willing to lend a hand in whatever way was needed. She was always so sweet to my Mother and transported her to the church when I was working.  I think of Peggy as an energizer bunny...she just kept going despite whatever obstacles where placed in her path.  We hated to see her move to NY but knew she needed to be with her family.  Such a wonderful example of total Christian love.  Her absence has left a hole in our hearts, but Heaven has surely gained an Angel....Jean and Joe Graham  (Sumter, SC)

When I first started working at Bethel, Ms. Peggy was so kind and welcoming to me. She would call to see if I needed help or had any questions, and sometimes, she would just stop by to say "Hello". Her love and kindness played a huge role in my family attending church here. What a blessing she was to us, and I can't wait to see her again!!

I was blessed to know this sweet, sweet lady! She will be missed!

It was sad for all of her South Carolina "family" when Peggy moved back up north to be near her "real"  family. She was such a sweet, sweet soul and was always a joy to be around. And though we are all sad at her passing I know there was a great celebration in Heaven when she went to her eternal home. 
Personally, I feel I was blessed to be able to call her my friend. We had a lot of fun together, even just doing the grocery shopping! And I know I will never have another cup of tea without thinking of her.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

My condolences to Peggy's family.   I have many wonderful memories of Peggy and the many church events we participated in.  The members of Bethel UMC remember her fondly and have mentioned how they will miss those birthday and anniversary cards she always sent to each of us.        God bless her soul.
