

Mary returned to the USA and eloped with John Cipriani in 1936 at age 16 in New York City.
She gave birth to Theresa Frances, her only child on September 4, 1941, 3 months before the bombing of Pearl Harbor.
Mary was the oldest child of Joseph Plotino and Frances Di Biscelgia. Mary’s mother Frances gave birth to 8 children. There was one boy who died at a very young age, and one twin who died at birth. All of the children were delivered at home, an apartment in NYC. Since Mary was the oldest, she had to take care of all her sisters.
As of today, one Sister Frances is still surviving , 88 years young and living in a nursing home in the Bronx
Mary’s husband John was a butcher by trade and opened his own Butcher shop in Corona, Queens NY. He brought his parents over from Italy and they lived with Mary and John in a small apartment behind the Butcher shop.
Mary worked in a factory sewing blouses, etc.
Mary and John later divorced and Mary took a bookkeeper course and began working at a Scottish liquor company, John Begg.
Mary married Frank Mancuso in 1962.
Mary is survived by her daughter Theresa DiCaro and her husband Martin, granddaughter Caroline Bonner, grandsons Carl Bonner, Ian Bonner, Martin Di Caro, Vincent Di Caro and his wife Claudia;3 handsome and talented great grandsons, Vinny, Gabriel and Cavan.
The family of Mary Mancuso will be receiving visitors on Sunday, March 23, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Monday, March 24, 2025 at 9:30 AM at St. Ann Roman Catholic Church, 58-02 146th St, Flushing, NY 11355. The interment will follow on Monday, March 24, 2025 at Mount St. Mary Cemetery, 172-00 Booth Memorial Ave, Flushing, NY 11365.
