When I think of Veronica, the word that comes to mind is "special." It was so obvious how her world was 100% centered around her family, giving everything and doing everything for the health and benefit of her family. It is amazing to me how sweet and loving these relationships were from my viewpoint. Even though there is no perfection, to give oneself and dedicate oneself to the heart's work, the way Veronica did with the family, and loved ones, that may be as close to true perfection that we can approach. 
I did not realize it until her passing, but Veronica also made me feel worthy of being part of that love and their beautiful family. And, to have someone look at you and help you feel worthy, in such a loving, blessed way, can help you heal all the wounds that you may have had; all your failures, all your deeds. To express that openness, that holy acceptance, that worthiness to someone, is a way that we can help pass God through to each other. I pray for the family; and I am a different, more clean, loving and accepting person because of the love that Veronica so naturally shared. I'm sorry I did not realize this to tell her, but Veronica was doing the Lord's work, every single day, by opening her heart to the whole world. God bless. 

I'm sure many can agree, that we cannot reflect on our childhood without remembering our experiences with the Hernandez family. Whether it was a group of us filling up the van to go to our basketball games or just gathering together for a pool party at their home, this was only made possible because of Brian's parents. 

Veronica treated all of us with care and a love that is only familiar to our own mothers, which is what made their home such a safe and comfortable place to be. I am devastated to know that one of my best friends lost a mother, and the neighborhood lost a piece of our childhood. However, I am most grateful to have an extended log of amazing memories from my youth because of Veronica. I will cherish these for as long as I can. Thank you to the Hernandez Family for always being so welcoming to me and many others, you have been in my prayers daily. 

Veronica was my assistant at Little Friends. She was kind, loving and super artistic. I loved her creativity. 
She would always talk about her wonderful boys, and one day I said, we need to get together so you can meet my husband too. The rest is history. We became good friends, and I was welcomed into the family, as was my husband. 
Sadly we lost touch for awhile, but I will never forget her kindness and friendship. I am still shocked and saddened by her passing, and Tim and I miss her greatly!
Please watch over all of us Veronica until we can be together again! ❤️

Veronica was a unique person who was able to make her friends and loved ones feel special. She truly valued and cultivated relationships with others. I met her when our oldest sons were toddlers in the same preschool. They are still close friends today. She was another mother to my son and always a supportive friend to me. We miss her and take comfort in knowing that her amazing spirit will always be close to us!

Nery was one of the most genuinely thoughtful, caring people I have ever met! She was a fountain of patience and kindness, always respectful and understanding... always appreciative and truly generous. In this sometimes dark and disappointing world, Nery was a beacon of radiant positivity. She never missed an opportunity to do kindnesses for others in her neverending effort to let people know just how special they were to her! I was lucky enough to receive one of her cherished, hand-made works of art, and I was blessed to work with her and have her as my friend! 

My thoughts and prayers are with Nery’s family.  I was lucky enough to work with Nery in my classroom.  She truly touched the heart of all our students!  Nery always helped me with my  craft projects and did special art work for my classroom I will cherish forever.  I am so happy I kept in touch with her this past year while she took time off.   I can’t stop thinking about her and will truly miss her so much!   

Nery was a great person! I was lucky enough to work with her! She was always happy and ready to help the kids and coworkers with whatever they needed it!!! You will be miss!!!RIP

Thank you for all the love and care you brought to Life Skills Preschool. You are dearly missed by students and staff. You were a warm, creative and loving part of our family. We wish your family peace during this difficult time.

Nery touched so many lives for the good. I’m grateful I had the chance to know her as both a colleague and a cherished friend. Nery Blessed so many children with her kindness.
