Olga J. Toral

Olga is survived by her husband, Manuel E. Toral; her children, Lucrecia Santomauro and Frank Santomauro, Jose Toral and Ruby Toral, Eduardo Toral and Patricia Toral, Chanena Varvarigos and Theodore Varvarigos; and her grandchildren James Santomauro, Austin and Christina LaPilusa, Joseph Varvarigos, John Toral, Amanda Toral, Gabriella Varvarigos, Celia Toral, Matthew Toral, Patrick Toral. She was predeceased by her parents, Hector Cevallos and Celia Munizaga, and her brothers, Eduardo Cevallos, and Arturo Cevallos.

Olga arrived in the United States in March 1966 with three of her children, her mother, and was greeted by her husband, Manuel Toral, who had arrived months earlier. She worked as a seamstress in the garment district in New York City. In 1971, she had her fourth child. Olga was a loyal, hardworking, loving, and honest woman, who helped pave the way for her children and grandchildren to make the most of the American Opportunity she gave to them.

The mass will be held at Saint Andrew Avellino Roman Catholic Church in Flushing New York on Wednesday, April 21, 2021. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Olga’s favorite charity.
