When I was 16 years old, and I came over to see Michael at his home in Bayside,  many times I would be greeted by Paul, and his mom and dad in their home. I always felt welcomed like I was a big part of the family. His dad was many times sitting in his chair.  His mom was always ready with a big glass of Iced tea, and Paul was always there with a smile. Though we are miles apart, and we really wish we could be in NY to say our final goodbye to Paul, we know he hears us no matter where we are.  Paul will be missed. Our sympathies go out to our dear friends, the Ficis. 

From before I even moved in next door to our final days together, you have been a true friend. 

I wish we'd taken that trip to Camden Yards, but I think your eternal reward may be box seats to watch the O's.

It has been a pleasure and you will be remembered fondly.

Uncle Paul was the most loving and caring person I have ever met. I am so honored to be his adoptive niece and can not bare to fathom the thought of not seeing him when I come home. He was always so genuine and happy, he would do anything for anyone! 

To my godfather, 
I love you so much! Thank you for being the worlds greatest godfather. Thanks for always calling me whenever I need you. I know one day we will be in paradise together so get busy building  a train board.  I  miss you  terribly.  Until we meet again godfather.

Maria, my heart breaks for you and the family.   We all loved Paul especially my boys.  He always spent time chatting w them and for many years delighted in throwing a ball with them.  He was a good soul.   We have many memories of fun times together.  Thank God for pictures.   I wish times were different and I could come tomorrow.  Happy though that I’ll see you and D next week.  I love you and my thoughts and prayers and w you ❤️

I will miss our conversations about your beloved Jets and Baltimore Orioles at our Saturday morning meetings.You will be sorely missed by all. May you rest in peace my friend.

Paul welcomed you with open arms even if he just met you. His care and thoughtfulness for others were unmatched by anyone else. A hole will be left in our hearts as he is simply irreplaceable.
