He immigrated to the United States at 18 years old, settling in New York City. In 1963, fate intervened at a local Greek dance, where Paul met the woman who would become his devoted wife, Georgia Georgelis. They were married for 62 years and raised 3 beautiful kids together in Queens, New York.
In 1997, Paul and Georgia retired to Florida - what Paul lovingly called “paradise.” He enjoyed gardening, playing cards, and loved spending endless hours in his sun room. He also had a great love for food and cooking.
Paul was preceded in death by his three younger brothers: Stratos Pappas (Barbara), James Pappas (Julia), and Panagis Pappas (Andromahi). He is survived by his wife, Georgia Pappas; his three children, George (Dana), Christine, and Joanne; and his three cherished granddaughters, Sophia, Adia, and Julia. They will forever treasure memories of their Papou’s endless jokes, warm laughter, and generous heart. His nephews and nieces also filled him with so much love, joy, and support. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
