Pilar was born on February 1, 1929 in Tomino, Spain to the late Luciano Martinez and Maria Gomez Martinez. Pilar was preceded in death by her husband Jose Pazos in 1974 and by a sister, Leopoldina "Lina". She is survived by her daughter Maria Moreyra and her husband John, her son George Pazos, MD and his wife Eileen, 6 grandchildren Victor, John Carlos, Mayellen, George Antonio, Natalia and Xavier; 3 great grandchildren Brianna, Madison and Anthony; brother Antonio; sisters Maruja, Anita & Sophia and also by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Visitation for Pilar will be held Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at Frederick Funeral Home, 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358. Following the visitation will be the interment from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM at St. Raymond's Cemetery, 2600 Lafayette Avenue, Bronx, NY 10465.
