Robert F. Barrett

Born in Yonkers in 1942 he was raised in The Bronx/Parkchester. He is a graduate of St. Raymond’s and Cardinal Hayes. He proudly served his country in the U.S Army, 25th infantry and is a Veteran of the Vietnam War. He married Bernadette Villaverde in 1967 and remained married until the time of his passing on October 26, 2016. He is survived by his wife Bernadette. He is the loving father of Amy Jennifer Barrett, Jane “Plaina” Barrett and Robert “Robboo” Barrett. He is a dear father-in-law to Anell Barrett and cherished Gran-pa of Luis, and Anell Elizabeth. He is also survived by his brother Jack Barrett. Sisters-in-law Annette Frank, Maureen Villaverde-Farh, Eileen Barrett, Maureen Villaverde and Sheila Barrett. His brothers-in-law William Villaverde, Kenneth Frank and Ibrahim Farh. He had many nieces and nephews whom he loved. He is a retired member of the NYC Department of Sanitation. He lived for his family. Reposing at Frederick Funeral Home of Flushing Northern Blvd. @ 193rd Street. Visiting Hours Sunday 2-5 & 7-9pm. Funeral Mass Monday at 10:00am at Queen of Peace RC Church. Interment Calverton National Cemetery.
