Tina Tanto

Tina Tanto, born on June 26, 1932, passed away on August 24, 2025, at the age of 93. She was a beloved, cherished, compassionate, devoted, faithful, and kind-hearted individual who touched the lives of many.

Tina was the beloved wife of the late Jap Djaafar. She was a devoted mother to Linda Beatrix, Irene Jap, Hendra Djaafar, Rita Stein, Landra Djaafar, Djoni Djaafar, Julia Djaafar, and Andre Djaafar. Her love extended to her cherished grandchildren, numbering six, and her great-grandchildren, numbering nine.

A visitation will be held at Frederick Funeral Home, located at 192-15 Northern Boulevard, Flushing, NY 11358, on Tuesday, September 2, 2025, from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Kevin's RC Church, 45-21 194th St, New York, NY 11358, on Wednesday, September 3, 2025, from 9:45 am to 10:45 am. Interment will follow at Mount St. Mary Cemetery, 172-00 Booth Memorial Ave, New York, NY 11365, from 11:15 am to 11:45 am.

Tina's legacy of kindness and devotion will be remembered by all who knew her.
