She is survived by children Laura Sunshine (Barry), and Jay Schechtman (Jeanne).
She was a loving grandmother to David, Kara and Grant and relished taking care of them when they were young. Charlotte was married for 67 years to Alex who passed away in 2017. Charlotte and Alex met in Summer camp where she was the music teacher and he was the horseback instructor.
Charlotte was a classical pianist, a competitive double tennis player and a topspin expert at ping pong.
She graduated PBK from Queens college in English and also had a masters in library science.
Charlotte was an avid reader of books and the New York Times. She had many friends , especially Lilly, Bernice, Tami, Sarah, Ellen as well as a special relationship with her sister in laws Abbey and Miriam.
Nobody could do a better parody or pun better and her laughter and empathy will be remembered by all.
A graveside service for Charlotte will be held Sunday, February 18, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at King Solomon Memorial Park, 550 Dwaskine Rd, Clifton, NJ 07012.
