Fran was born and raised on the Lower East Side of Manhattan, where she lived with her mother Miriam, father Julius, and brothers Marvin and Michael.
She was a strong and adventurous young woman, traveling the world solo and with girlfriends, in a time when young women didn’t do such things.
She met her beloved, Sal Sturiale, at work and they married in 1966. They lived in Rego Park for a few years before settling into their family home in Hollis Hills, Queens, where they raised three dear children: Marc, Robert and Jennifer.
She enjoyed the intellectual challenges of work as a legal secretary, along with the friendships and relationships that grew over the years. She relished working in Manhattan, especially on 5th Avenue - a true city woman at heart. And always, she was the biggest supporter and champion for her husband’s businesses; an integral partner in their operation.
Fran adored and delighted in her four grandchildren: Joshua, Annabelle, Kate and Zachary; her daughters-in-law Patricia and Pamela and her son-in-law Alan; and her three granddogs: Max, Carter and Finny.
Services will be held Friday 3/28 at 9:30am, at Sinai Chapels: 114-03 Queens Blvd, Forest Hills.
