Miss Uncle Irwin.  He was kind, intelligent, thoughtful and helpful to my parents.  We loved visiting him and Aunt Roz in Mt. Vernon, New Rochelle, Florida and Long Island.  I was flower girl at his wedding!

Roz was my first cousin and I was with her the night she met Irwin at a dance at the 92nd street YMHA in Manhattan.  As I recall, he was wearing blue suede shoes, years before the style was popularized in song.  He and Roz became the closest of friends to me and my husband Dave, lifelong companions in both New York and Florida, and I miss them so much.  We had such wonderful times together, raising our families, sharing holidays and celebrations, and going in search of antique clocks in New England.  It's truly a blessing to have had Irwin in our lives for seventy years!

Irwin was the husband of Rozie, my mother Pearl’s cousin, and he was always so warm and caring with me and my family, like a favorite uncle that we loved when we visited in New York and Florida.  Here is a photo of him with Jed’s family when they took us out to a Peruvian restaurant in Queens in 2018.  May he rest in peace.
