Kenny treating my siblings and I to the best Chinese spot in NYC! He was always beyond generous.

Kenny treated me like his own this summer while living in New York. I am beyond lucky to have known him and spent many a times together, usually sharing a meal. You will be dearly missed Kenny.

If you were so smart, you would have been a Yankee fan.

Kenny will always be my big cousin.  I remember when I was growing up, Kenny had a collection of pipes in his room, and several different chess sets.  He spent hours playing chess with me, allowing me to undo my many stupid moves.  He was always patient with me.  As we grew older, chess was replaced by cameras, and Kenny would always allow me to borrow a lens or try out some new camera he had.  After cameras, we moved on to food, whether it was a fancy restaurant in Chicago or a steakhouse in NY.   I had not seen Kenny in years, but I am going to miss him.

So sorry to hear of Kenny Pops' passing. He sat next to me in my tenth grade homeroom class. May his memory be a blessing.

Kenny, I can’t believe you’re gone. Just like that in an instant. I’ve known you since I was a kid and you were my Mets mentor. I’ll always remember talking to you about Piazza and Alfonzo debating if this would be our year.  It won’t be the same watching our beloved /wretched Mets knowing you aren’t on this world suffering with me. I’ll miss you. The night we went to the playoff game was magical sitting  in left field watching the Mets crush the Cubs. We were so happy and I was so grateful you allowed me to go and experience that together. Kenny you were a kind, generous and funny man. This world and I will miss you dearly. Hopefully you’ll watch down from heaven a Mets championship one day. RIP Kenny

Kenny's Family -- I am one of the legions of professionals who had the distinct pleasure of working with Kenny, and having a special friendship with him. I first met and worked with Kenny more than 3  decades ago (I was bond counsel and he was cash flow specialist for the Wyoming CDA). I really got to know him when we shared a house in a rural Wyoming town for a 3 day board retreat (they didn't have enough hotel rooms for us). A hard scrabble Bronx kid and a poor Nebraska farm boy -- yet with a similar life view. Kenny was a master at his profession --both preparing and explaining cash flows.  And  loved by Wyoming folks (and many others) for his candor. At an early Board meeting he was introduced, and then told to tell a joke. The only one he could remember was a bit off color -- and an absolute hit - a story recounted to this day.  We will miss him greatly -- a special person, loved by all.

I’m saddened by the news of Kenny’s passing. His generosity left a lasting impression, and his  presence brightened our workplace.

I was blessed to spend several days last week with Kenny at the housing conference we hosted in Jackson Hole, WY.  This picture was taken by my wife after Kenny had this beautiful cowboy hat made at a local shop as part of one of our activities.  It perfectly portrays the wonderful person he was with the mischievous smile on his face.  Our thoughts and prayers are with you all and Kenny...we will see you again one day my dear friend!
