Miss you Mom. I can’t believe it’s been 2 years.

To the best mom. Rest is peace. I’ll always miss you.

This was taken at my parents house in Oct 1987 when Great Aunt Rose, Renee and Scott, and Selva came to KC for my wedding. From left to right: my mom Eileen, Aunt Rose, Selva, my dad Allen, and Renee.

Renee at my wedding which so happens to be her birthday. She always sent us an Anniversary card every year.

She helped unlock my imagination.  Her memory will always be a blessing.

I’ll never forget the Christmas vacations that Rusty watched me, chasing me every day to eat a banana. We  called each other banana head and laughed at the memory. She was a very warm and loving cousin. She will be missed. Rest in peace Rusty. I will always think of her with a smile on my face.

Renee is a beautiful name, but she’ll always be Rusty to me (and to her other cousins).  It was Rusty we spent time with in Washington Heights and Rusty who went away with us in the summer. Finally, but only in the last few years, she accepted that Rusty was her forever name. There are so many wonderful memories. As you mourn her, please remember the joy she brought to so many. We love you Cousin Rusty.

I took this photo the last time I visited  New York. It’s  the window next to the couch in the living room in the apartment. It just felt so peaceful.

I’m glad I got to talk to her one more time. I will miss her laugh, and her smile.  Love to all of you from Shannon and I.

Debbie and family, I wish I could share the visual memories I have of your Mom. There’s a gleam in her eye , a warmth of her smile and a physical touch that I immediately felt showed her love. I am so saddened by Rusty’s passing. She was a beautiful and loving person, a joy to be around. I have only the fondest memories.

And may her soul be bound up in the bonds of eternal life, along with the souls of Abraham, Isaac,  Jacob, Sarah, Rebecca, Rachel, Leah, and all the righteous males and females who are in heaven.
