  It was always a pleasure working with you, Steve. You were a kind soul, always had an even temperament and the funniest, dryest personality. I always walked away from you laughing. 
   You and i retired from U.S. Customs on the same day. I knew then, that U.S. Customs would never be the same after our generation left, and it wasn't.  now, the world will not be the same without you in it.
    God Bless You Steve. Rest in peace knowing that your Customs family will miss you.

So saddened to hear about Steve.  Unfortunately, there is no longer a 'grapevine' as I definitely would have attended his funeral.  I will always cherish the memory of Steve telling me how he met his wife at a Singles Weekend in the Catskills--a subject near and dear to my heart.  Rest In Peace, Steve, as we lost another member of our Customs' family to eternity.

I had the pleasure of knowing Steve as a colleague at U.S. Customs for many years. I always found him to be a person of irreproachable integrity, limitless patience and irrepressible humor. My most sincere condolences to this wife and family.

Steven, RIP, my old colleague and friend. I got to know you over the years; you leave behind great memories, as you were a very fine and decent soul.
You will be missed by all your friends and colleagues.

Steve was always an interesting man to talk with.  He was also generous with solid advice on subjects he had a greater grasp of than I.  I am very sorry to hear of his passing and my condolences go out to his family.  May he rest in God

I'll always recall Steve's 'Word-of-the-Day' and sardine lunches when we were on a Trade Team together.  May God protect you, my friend.
