Our families go way back, my mother and aunt ('Bunty' and Moira - nee Todd) were sent over to stay with Al and Irene for a while at the outbreak of WW2. So it was great to finally get over to stay with Doug, Linda and Charmaine for a short break in 2019. We had a fantastic time, Linda being the perfect hostess providing excellent meals, organising day trips out and we joked she should open a B&B! Indeed we laughed about a lot of things, Linda had a great sense of humour with such a welcoming, generous, lively and lovely character, that it's hard to believe she is gone too soon. Our heartfelt condolences go out to Doug, Charmaine and the rest of the family and we hope to be able to get over to see you again before too long.

I only had the privilege of knowing Linda (Nani) for eight years, through my best friend Erica, but in that time she treated me like one of her own. Her baking was truly legendary, but even more memorable was her warmth, kindness, and the effortless way she cared for everyone around her. I will cherish the memories of the card games we shared where someone would inevitably end up doing the 'hokey pokey', and the hot days swimming in her and Doug's pool admiring the tomatoes she had painstakingly grown that summer. I have never known a more efficient, generous, and loving woman. Nani showed me firsthand how powerful a grandmother’s love can be when it came to Lauren, Erica, and Vanessa - a love that continues to ripple through all those whose lives she touched. She will be deeply missed.

Im so saddened to learn of Lindas passing. Ive known Linda most of  my Life. In high school Linda hired my Son to work at her Sports Store. As he did all through high school. Linda taught my Son great worth ethics. She was strict, kind, a wonderful teacher and very caring.
Linda and my Mom became very good Friends through their Church and choir.

Visiting Reids Sports for mt first pair of figure skates and many years after for all my figure skating needs, and then one day working for Linda and Doug , for about 10 years , I always felt like family . Linda was always so good to me and she had the best pranks . She taught me how to bake the best desserts , any one who knew Linda knew she was the greatest baker ! . I am so grateful to have known Linda and she is going to be missed by so many who loved her . Sending all my love to Doug and Charmaine and family .

I am so sad to hear of Linda’s passing. She taught me so much in my formative years, from having a strong work ethic to how to bake the tastiest cookies. We spent a lot of time in her kitchen preparing family meals, she was always so generous. She taught me how to be a good boss and I’m so thankful for that.
