Carol Ann Sauer

SAUER, Carol peacefully in the comfort of her home in Grimsby, Ontario, on September 1st, 2026. Carol will be deeply missed by her beloved children Vicki (Murray) Blackburn and James Martin (Marty) Sauer. Much loved Nana to her precious grandchildren James Marcus (Vanessa) Sauer and Samantha (Brandon) Sauer; Jackson Blackburn and Cassidy Blackburn; and great-grandchildren Adylin, Christopher, Warren and Lincoln.

Carol was predeceased by the love of her life and husband, Jim Sauer, her parents, Jim and Lorna Nelson, and her great-granddaughter Oakley Sauer.

She is survived by her sister Lorna Piano, numerous nieces and nephews and many dear friends. Carol was a woman who cherished her circle of family and friends, and her four footed companion Buñuelo. The coffee was always on and the door open for conversation, support and laughter.

BENNER FUNERAL SERVICES has been entrusted with her arrangements. A private interment at McAfee Cemetery is to be arranged. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to McMaster Children's Hospital NICU.
