Elaine Marie Potestio

Elaine Potestio passed away peacefully on April 3, 2026, in her 86th year.

Born on July 30, 1940, Elaine was a proud farm girl who grew up working alongside her parents, Walter and Dorothy Ott, on the family farm. After attending Teachers’ College, she went on to become a dedicated primary school teacher in her hometown of Stevensville, Ontario. Elaine often spoke fondly of her years in the classroom and the many students whose lives she touched. She truly cherished her role as an educator.

Elaine had a deep passion for cooking and baking, which she loved sharing with others. Her strong work ethic led her to own and operate several small restaurants throughout her career. She was also well known for her impressive collection of Coca-Cola memorabilia.

Above all, Elaine was a devoted mother and cherished Gramma. Her life was filled with love for her children, Dion and Dana, and her beloved grandchildren, Annie, Katie, and Morgan. She also shared a special lifelong bond with her cousin and dear friend, Cathy Adams.

Elaine will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. Cremation has taken place. Benner Funeral Services has been entrusted with arrangements.
