Leon Junior McIntyre

Beloved husband of 50 years to Carol (née Walh). Proud father of Jeff (Dorothy), Becky (Patrick), and Chris (Lorraine). Adoring Papa to Brooke.

Leon was predeceased by his parents, Dougal and Jennie McIntyre, and by his siblings Evelyn, Bud, Dorothy, Connie, Archie, Ronald, Carl, and Jim. He will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by his many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

Leon will be remembered as a caring, kind, and quiet man whose gentle presence touched the lives of those around him. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching the Toronto Maple Leafs, and spending time with the family dogs, which brought him great joy throughout his life.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Leon’s life at Benner Funeral Services on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service in the chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to The Canadian Cancer Society, and would be appreciated by his family.
