He was the beloved son of Ruth and Emmett O’Connor, and a devoted, caring and adoring father and friend to Kathleen, Ryan (Robin), Corey, Jennifer, and Chuck. He was a proud and loving Papa to Sophia, Owen, Emma, Elliott, Hayley, Nicholas, Lilly, Jayden, Keegan, Caleb, Noah, Delaney, Morgan, Millicent, Marshall, and Courtland—each of whom brought him immense joy.
Terry served his country during the Vietnam War and later dedicated 32 years of service to General Motors before retiring.
He lived life with energy and enthusiasm, always ready to celebrate. He enjoyed attending “truck-ins” and van shows, earning several top trophies for his custom van styling. He also loved riding motorcycles, relaxing by the pool, and spending time on the water. Terry served faithfully for many years at All Saints Anglican Church, where he wore many hats to serve his community.
The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to his devoted friend Tony, whose care and support meant so much in Terry’s final moments.
Terry will be remembered for his deep love of family, his adventurous spirit, and the joy he so freely shared with those around him. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
Cremation has taken place. Family and friends are invited to Benner Funeral Services on Saturday, April 11, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. to honour and celebrate his life.
