Edwin Taylor

Ed was born Nov. 29, 1926 to Frank and Lillian Taylor.

He married Viola Peterson on Oct. 10, 1948 and together they raised their family of three children in Fort Frances, Ont.

Viola passed away in 1996. In 1998, Ed married Carolyn Odahl (Kittleson).

Ed is survived by his wife, Carolyn; children, Frank (Susan), Dave (Rhonda), and Bob (Aryle); stepchildren, Greg Odahl, Susie (Roy) Nietzschmann, Mitzi (Bill) Krag, and Carrie (Dave)Nault; and 18 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.

He also leaves behind two brothers, Ray (Cathy) and John (Carol); as well as a large extended family.

Ed’s passions were flying, fishing, camping, and spending time with his family, friends, and dogs.

He had a great sense of humour which we all enjoyed and will miss.

Funeral services took place Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Zion Lutheran Church in Fort Frances.

The pallbearers were all of his grandchildren.
