Joel Richard Walton

Joel was born October 13, 1980 in Fort Frances to Shelley Walton and Dwayne Morrison. He graduated high school in 2009. A man who liked working with his hands, Joel was often working carpentry or construction.

Joel loved sports; volleyball, hockey, baseball, fishing and hunting. He could also be found on the powwow trail where he had a passion for drumming and singing.

He is survived by his children; Shae, Kayleigh, Tianna, Shayanna, Haven and Colby, his father Dwayne, his brother Reo (Mandi), nieces and nephews; Kyle, Reo Jr., Kaelyn, Bella and Landen as well as many other cousins, family and friends.

Joel is preceded by his mother Shelley and grandparents.

Honorary pallbearers: Haven Walton, Kyle Walton, Reo Walton Jr., Bobby Morrison, Roger Morrison, Travis Roulston and Mike Anderson.

Any monetary donations can be made to the family which will be held in trust for his children. Joel’s family would like to thank family, friends and Nigigoonisiminikaaning First Nation for their support during this difficult time.
