

She was born in Franzfeld, Yugoslavia on June 29, 1922.
She immigrated to Canada with her family in 1928 eventually settling in the Stratton area. She attended school in Pattullo Township. She had excellent penmanship and artistic ability; winning several awards at the Emo Fair. After finishing school she worked for Green's Tourist Camp in Nestor Falls.
She was united in marriage to Wolfram Schulz on October 22, 1948. They spent their entire married life in the Rainy River District, mostly in Stratton.
Mom was a gentle and kind soul who was devoted to her family. She embodied the true meaning of the words "Domestic Engineer" and her family reaped the benefits from this title. She was proud of the fact that you could never find a speck of dust in her house. She loved to garden and pick berries in the summer. She also enjoyed visiting family and friends, After moving to Fort Frances she joined he Church Of The Lutheran Hour and church activities played a key role in her life.
Katherine was predeceased by her husband Wolfram Schulz in 1989, her son Kurt in 2012, her grandson Scott in 1981, her father Conrad Siraky Sr. in 1953, her mother Katherine Siraky in 1974, her sister Dorothy Michl in 2003, her brothers Frederick in 1937 and Conrad in 2003.
Katherine is survived by her daughter Karen Hammond (Bill), daughter-in-law Susan Schulz; sons Richard Schulz (Sandra Lange), Robert Schulz (Joyce).
Also surviving are her grandchildren Kevin, Derek(Danielle), Trevor, Troy(Jennifer), Krista(Sean) and Jason(Danielle). Great grandchildren Zachary, Landon, Brodie, Kurtis and Johnathan. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews and extended family.
As per her wishes there will be no official funeral service. There will be a private family service on the date of the interment.
