Margaret Schafer

Margaret was born on July 15, 1922 in Hamilton, Ontario to Mr. and Mrs. Albert Craig.

Before Margaret was married she was employed at the Eatons Department Store. Margaret was united in marriage on May 3, 1950 to her husband Kurt who survives. Once married Margaret no longer worked outside the home and became a housewife. One of Margaret’s pastimes were reading. She also enjoyed gardening, growing vegetables in the summer months at their home where they resided just west of town.

Margaret and Kurt enjoyed many holiday trips south to Florida. They had pets (cats) that were loved and considered their children.

Also surviving are three nieces, Dianne Morrow, her two sisters and their brother from Eastern Ontario. Margaret also leaves friends at Rainycrest, staff, residents and volunteers.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 at 1:30 pm Rainycrest Long Term Care with The Reverend MJ D. Leewis-Kirk, AOJN officiating.
