She was predeceased by her husband Lucien in 2002 and her daughter in law Linda in 1991.
Marguerite was an active member of St. Mary’s Church, was very strong in her faith and has strong Christian values which she instilled in her family.
Family was very important to her and she loved nothing more than to have the family gathered together for special occasions. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Even after she retired for her 32 year career in nursing at LaVerendrye Hospital, she continued her involvement in the community and particularly enjoyed her involvement with the “older people” at Rainycrest.
Her French Canadian heritage was a source of pride as well as the fact that her family had been in Canada for over 325 years. She was a member of the French Club which sponsored the French-Canadian booth at Cultrama for many years and had also qualified as a French interpreter for the court.
Marguerite loved to travel and was very proud of having travelled coast to coast in Canada and to the Artic. She enjoyed international travel and was so happy at the age of 89 to have fulfilled a long held dream to visit the Holy Land.
