Marvel Emma Engler

Sadly we announce the passing of our Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother Marvel Emma Engler. Mom passed away peacefully in the early morning of February 20th at LaVerendrye Hospital in Fort Frances.

A lifelong resident of Fort Frances, Mom was predeceased by her husband Mike and son Scooper (Mike Jr.). She is survived by her daughters Toni and Teresa, daughter-in-law Mary (Mike Jr.), sons Lynn (Hilda), Bill (Trudy), Emil (Margot), Peter, and Doug (Tanya).

She also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Mom also leaves to mourn sisters Edna (Ralph) Benjamin and Renie Jaman along with sister-in-law Nettie Amorde and special niece Tarra. We would like to thank all of her friends and neighbors plus the caring and considerate staff at Rainycrest who helped look out for Mom these past years while she was alone.

We would also like to thank the wonderful staff at La Verendrye Hospital for their kindness and compassion.

Marvel was proud to be a long time member of the Catholic Women’s League and the church was an important part of her life. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy, and loved to share their stories.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, July 15, 2016 at 11:00 am at Green Funeral Home with Father Ben Hadrich officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army or St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church in Fort Frances in care of Green Funeral Home, Box 427, Fort Frances, Ontario. P9A 3M8
