He was born on May 30, 1944 in Emo, ON to Algot and Olive Johnson. He grew up in Atikokan moving to Toronto as a young man. He worked in Toronto all his life before returning to Atikokan in 2006.
He leaves behind his daughter Jasmine Helbrecht of Whitemouth, MB and sister Vivian Parker of London, ON.
Cremation has taken place and a private family interment will be held at a later date.
