Richard Clifford LeGarde

The family of Clifford LeGarde sorrowfully announces his passing. Clifford was, 57 years old, and resided at; 1301 Elizabeth St., Fort Frances, Ontario, formerly of Couchiching First Nation, Ontario, on Thursday, November 4, 2010 at LaVerendrye General Hospital in Fort Frances, Ontario.

Clifford was born on April 5, 1953 in Long Lac 58 First Nation, Ontario. He later moved to Thunder Bay where he lived for many years. Having a passion for music, Clifford played Bass in his Band “LL58” in Thunder Bay. While there he met Judy Yerxa and they were later united in marriage on June 2, 2006. They later moved to Fort Frances where they lived since. In recent years, Clifford was working towards becoming a Deacon at Our Lady Of Lourdes Church. At home Clifford and Judy loved and enjoyed playing with their many cats; always affectionately referring to them as their children. Clifford loved the bush, enjoying fishing and hunting whenever he would go. Not having their own children, they enjoyed their many nieces and nephews, Kayla, Ashley, Cassandra, Shari, Jordan, Taylor, Travis, Joanna-May, Angel, Rachel, Vince, Rodney, Connie, David and Tracy.

He was predeceased by his parents; his wife Judy LeGarde in 2009; and one brother, Ralph LeGarde.

Clifford is survived by many nieces and nephews in the Rainy River District and Thunder Bay District.

Friends may visit Sunday evening November 7, 2010 from 7 until 9 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, Ontario. Prayers will be offered at 7:30 p.m.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 8, 2010 at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady Of Lourdes Church in Couchiching First Nation, Ontario.

Deacon Bob Grynol will officiate with interment in Our Lady Of Lourdes Cemetery.

Active pallbearers: Vinny Yerxa, Rodney Yerxa, Brian Yerxa, David Yerxa, John Yerxa, Allan Yerxa and Tony Mainville.

Honourary pallbearers will be all of his nieces and nephews.
