
He was born on July 20, 1939 to Robert and Anita Tupper in Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia. He grew up in Nova Scotia and as a young man enlisted with the Canadian Armed Forces. He was a career military man, serving all over Canada. He was united in marriage to Karen Pullar onApril 11, 1959 and together they had six boys. After retirement they moved to International Falls, MN to be closer to family and settled in Fort Frances shortly afterwards. Not one to be idle, Robert took a job with Voyageur Panel for 6 years. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He also volunteered with the Boy Scouts for over 20 years both as a Leader and a teacher. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He leaves behind his wife Karen; sons Scott Brian, Daniel Lendall, Roger Irvin and wife Joy, Teddy James and wife Rosita, Michael Sheldon and wife Ann and Robert Leo and wife Kimberly; 12 grandchildren Jennifer, Bethany, Mathew, Adam, Kaylyn, Nikkita, Jeremy, Brittany, Brandon, Cody, Meghan and Robert Logan; 2 great grandchildren Emily and Kato; sisters Shirley Mae Milligan and Diane Fay as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Robert was predeceased by his parents.
At his request cremation has taken place and there will be no service.
