Stephanie was born on February 19, 1975 in Fort Frances, ON to Leslie and Margaret Perrault. As a child she spent time in Thunder Bay, Toronto and Fort Frances but always considered “Fort” her home. She liked to cook and had participated in the Culinary Program in Seven Generations School. She enjoyed beading and jingle dancing at Pow Wows. She was a happy, outgoing person who always lit up a room with her smile. She loved her family deeply and maintained close relationships with them and her friends.
She will be greatly missed by her daughter Brittany Handorgan and her children Naisayah, Jaysen and Aleeyah;, daughter Taylor Perrault and her children Ariannah, Grayson, Soraya and Ellie; daughter Chantal Perrault (Devon Tuesday) and her children Harlow, Liam and Quinn; siblings Cynthia Perrault, Sabrina Perrault, Dianna Harrison, Candace Perrault and Cheryl Perrault; aunts and uncles Eleanor Lockman, Jerry Perrault, Sydney Perrault and Darrel Perrault. She also leaves behind her close friends Jason Ellman and Jason Jourdain and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Stephanie was predeceased by her parents Leslie and Margaret; son George Handorgan III and granddaughter Rayna.
A traditional ceremony was held on Monday, March 8, 2021 at the Nigigoonsiminikaaning First Nation Community. She was laid to rest with her son George at Ottertail Landing.
The pallbearers were Jason Jourdain, Leslie Allen, Eunice Johnson, Corbin Archie, Jason Ellman and Brett Tuesday.
The honourary pallbearers were Vinny Yerxa, Cyle Jourdain and Kevin Tuesday Jr.
