

He was born on February 22, 1947 to George and Bella Bruyere. He was part of a set of twins, he and Sydney were inseparable from the day they were born. They did everything together, hunting, fishing, guiding on Stokes Bay. Not a day went by without them visiting, talking and spending time together. His love of teasing and sarcastic jokes will be greatly missed.
Sterling leaves behind his son Bryan Carlson (Theresa) of Winnipeg, MB; grandchildren RJ, Katherine and Landon; brothers Larry (Eileen), and Doug Bruyere; sisters Shirley (Charles) Sollen, Karen Chaboyer and Lyla Bruyere; sisters-in-law Shirley, Myrtle and Peggy Bruyere; special niece Joanne Bruyere and her children Cathy, Laura and Aaron as well as a large extended family of nieces and nephews.
He will also be greatly missed by his two cats, Twigs and Little Syd. He adored them greatly.
He was predeceased by his parents George and Bella; wife Lynn Carlson; son Jason Carlson; brothers Marvin, Arnold, Rudy, Frank, Lyle and Sydney; sisters-laws Catherine, Maggie and Joan.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 1 p.m. at Green Funeral Home in Fort Frances, Ontario with Father Alan Albao officiating.
Friends may visit one hour prior to the service.
