Abraham Ivanhoe McGibbon

Abraham Ivanhoe McGibbon was born on March 27, 1927, in Jones Town, Jamaica to Randolph McGibbon and Gertrude McGibbon. He was predeceased by his siblings Robert (Willie), Donald, Lloyd, Sylvia (Sis), Eric, Victor, Earl, and Carlton.

He leaves to cherish his memory his six children Adrian McGibbon (Shawne), Andrew McGibbon (Dr. Annette Hoo), Dr. Faith McGibbon Martyn (Anthony), Dr. Karen McGibbon, Mark McGibbon (Mahlet) and Michael McGibbon (Salem). He is also survived by nine beloved grandchildren – Dr. Danielle McGibbon, Andrew Jr., Tanner, Taylor, Leah, Lucas, Abigail, Joseph, and Zachary, along with a host of other relatives and dear friends.

The Celebration of the wonderful life for Abraham McGibbon will be held at Bethel Gospel Chapel, located at 1444 NW 15th Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33311 on Saturday, March 21, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. Services will be live streamed at https://youtube.com/@bgcftlauderdale

Interment will follow the funeral service at Forest Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 2401 Southwest 64th Avenue, Ft. Lauderdale, FL 33317. A repast in celebration of his life will be held at the same location immediately following the interment.
