

She was preceded in death by her parents Walter and Mary Brown, and husband, Weber Strohmeier.
Betty was born March 22,1935 in Frankfort Kentucky. She is survived by sons Charles (Kathleen) of Tamarac, William (Annette) of Fort Lauderdale, Stephen (Kimberly) of Johns Creek, GA, Douglas (Amy) of Birmingham, AL; Grandsons Christopher, Michael, and Gates; Granddaughters Taylor Jane, Abigayle, Jessica Ann, and Jessica Scott.
She enjoyed many activities with her grandchildren including baking, doing puzzles, and watching sports on television. She was a sports fan, but mostly just enjoyed the time together.
She graduated from Kentucky Baptist School of Nursing in 1956 and worked until her sons were born. Betty and Weber met through a mutual friend and were married 55 years until he went to be with the Lord. They were longtime members of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church. Weber was active in the choir and Betty co-led a bible study for many years. They also enjoyed traveling and took the boys on long road trips, one summer visiting as many sports stadiums as possible on a winding trek around the country.
Betty was a Charter Member of New Presbyterian Church Wilton Manors, FL. She co-led a monthly ladies bible study and hosted monthly dinners in her home for the Cancer Support Group until 2017. Betty served on the Board of the SonShiners for six years helping with set-up, decorations, and the program. She was also involved in the Concert Series as a Benefactor for over ten years. She will be dearly missed by many friends and extended family. Each person she touched was better for having known her.

Celebration of life will commence on Saturday, September 24, 2022 from 11:00 at New Presbyterian Church, 512 NE 26th Street, Wilton Manors, FL 33305.
Interment will be in Louisville, KY at Resthaven Memorial Park 4400 Bardstown Road.
