I am Jewess Hines. I met Wayne Robert) in 2017 when he hired me to care for his Father(Carlton McDonald), at home.  I  cared for Mr. Carlton for several months until he was transferred to  Broward Nursing and Rehab and it makes me feel like I am family.  Working with Mr. Carlton was good for me.  He was a cooperative client.  He was always pleasant,  even when he was having a difficult day.  I visited him quite often while he was at Broward.  I even enjoyed being with him and staff during their recreation and lunch time.  Mr. Carlton always participated to the best of his ability.  He enjoyed  dancing  even while he was in his wheelchair.  When he was transferred to  Sunrise Wayne hired me to accompany his Dad to his  appointments.  I also visited him during recreation time, until Covid19 struck the world.  Then things changed but I kept in touch until outside visitations were allowed once more.  I visited Mr. Carlton with Wayne's Mother (Yvonne Maylor) on Thursday (March 30, 2023) not knowing that would be our last visit.  Mr. Carlton was sleepy but coherent and cognizant of who we were.  I will miss my visits with him.  He was an inspiration because he coped with so many adversities.  May he rest in peace with God.

On behalf of my family and myself we extend our sincere condolences to Robert and family. Mr. Mc Donald/ Pops was a pleasant soft spoken funny in his own ways gentleman.  I often spent time in his company, from assisting Robert caring for him, Thanksgiving or Christmas at my house to visiting him at the nursing home he always will say something that will crack us up laughing. A sweet soul….,,sleep in peace Pops. You will be missed.
