Catherine Julia Isaacson, age 74 of Coconut Creek, passed away on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 in Holy Cross Health. At the time of her passing she was in the hearts and minds of those she loved the most.
Born on December 29, 1947 in Brooklyn, New York, Catherine was the daughter of the late Leonardo and Anna (Restivo) Lungaro. Catherine attended Tilden High School. In 1967 Catherine was united in marriage to Michael Martinelli. From this union came their daughter Evelyn. Michael passed away in 1971. In 1977 Catherine was joined in a 2nd union With Robert “Bob” Isaacson, a union of 45 years until her passing. Catherine worked as a secretary for 10 years with Florida Power and Light and later for the State of Florida for 30 years. In her spare time Catherine loved to cook, dance and cherish the time spent with her family. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Boca Raton, where she also served as a Eucharistic Minister. She participated in God Renews his Parish in Tallahassee.
Catherine is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Isaacson; her daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn Catherine and Paul Luca; her cherished grandson, John Paul Luca; her sister, Annette Hutching and her nieces and nephews, Danielle Oliveri, John Oliveri and John, Alex and Marianna.
The family graciously accepts flowers or donations in Catherine’s memory may be made to the American Heart Association.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 4, 2022 from 4:00 – 8:00 at the Kraeer – Fairchild Funeral Home, 4061 North Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale. Catherine’s funeral service will commence on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at 9:30 at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 22094 Lyons Road, Boca Raton, where her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Entombment will take place in Our Lady Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery, North Lauderdale.
