Cecelia Marie (Sullivan) Carr, 89, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 10, 2019 in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She was born in Bayonne, NJ, daughter of the late Bernard and Cecelia Sullivan. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, William G. Carr Sr. She is a 1946 graduate of Holy Family Academy, Bayonne, NJ. She retired from Exxon, Bayway Refinery in 1990 when she and her husband moved to Florida. Cecelia was a long-time member of St. John the Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Fort Lauderdale, where she was involved in the week day morning rosary and stations of the cross.
Cecelia is survived by her children, William G. Carr Jr, Bayonne, Cecelia and John St. Clair, Ashville, PA, Patricia Carr and Armindo Rodrigues, Randolph, NJ; four grandsons, AJ and Braden St. Clair and Hunter and Connor Rodrigues and a great-granddaughter, Harper St. Clair.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Bernard and James Sullivan and her sister Maureen Sullivan.
A funeral service will be held, Saturday, February 23, 2019 at St. Andrews Church, 125 Broadway, Bayonne, NJ at 11:00 am. Friends and family are welcome to attend.
