
Coy is survived by his mother, Ruth Emelee Shepherd, wife, Robin Moore, children, Jennifer, Tonya and his heart-children, Eric & wife Paula, Gareth & wife Ana, Matthew & husband Alex, Kelley & husband Bob, Casey,Carley & husband Nolan, Theresa & wife Monica, grandchildren, Curtis, Nick, Noah, Alexis, Veda, Matthew, Mariana, Michael, Vanessa, Robbie, Nevaeh, Dennis, Henry, Theo, Madeline, Kayden, Joshua, cousin, Jesse, mother in law, Jean, brothers and sisters in law,Katie, Donna & Bob, nieces and nephews, Meghan, Sienna, Logan, Jean Marie and Robert. He is preceded in death by his father, Coy Edward Moore, Sr., brother, Bill, aunt, Alice and cousin Alan.
Coy was born on March 28, 1949 in Greensboro, North Carolina and graduated from Smith High School in Greensboro, North Carolina. Coy is a decorated Vietnam Vet and recipient of the Bronze Star Medal, Republic ofVietnam Gallantry Cross and Vietnam Service Medal with Five Service Stars. During his time in the U.S. Army, Coy served in Military Intelligence in Vietnam and was later stationed in Germany for eight years. While in the service, he earned his LPN degree.He was retired from the U.S. Army and from the Medical College of Georgia.
Coy was an avid gardener, bowler and NASCAR enthusiast. He was a loving father, husband and grandfather, who loved family gatherings and vacations.
