Dave was preceded in death by his parents David F Klena and Joyce Louise Kraus Klena. He is survived by wife Alice Klena and sons William Klena and David M Klena and beautiful grandchildren.
At the age of eight the family moved to Colorado. There
he enjoyed boating, jeeping and motorcycle riding with his wife Alice and two sons William and David in the sand hills of Grand Junction. He earned his scuba diving certification and worked on to become assistant scuba diving instructor. In 1982 he moved the family to Florida to work for IBM and became a packaging engineer. There he enjoyed scuba diving, boat and fishing with the family all along the southern Atlantic Coast and the Florida keys. He rode his bike along A1A almost everyday after retiring which was about 20 miles. For all Dave’s life he always shared and that trend started from a toddle. His aunt Murt put coins in a riding horse for him but half way through another child stood watching. Dave got off and let him ride. When he bought a motorcycle we all got a motorcycle. He was always helpful to others and will be missed by many. We remember and honor the memories of a loving wonderful husband, son, brother, father, grandfather and friend.
Rest in peace, beloved.
It can be a great comfort to a grieving person or family to hear that others thought highly of their loved one, too. If you knew and admired Dave be, sure to let the family know by writing a few words in the "Memory" section of his obituary on the Kraeer - Fairchild Funeral Home website. www.KraeerFairchild.com.
