Memorial services will be held 10:00am Sunday, September 11 at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden, 2401 Davie Road, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33317.
Don was born in Cleveland, Ohio to Charles and Alice Allen on April 1, 1934. Don graduated college with an engineering degree. He worked as a carpenter and engineer for most of his life. He was a veteran of the Korean war. He served as a staff sergeant during his time in the Army.
Don enjoyed the art of carpentry, fishing and cooking. He loved sipping tea at the bookstore on a rainy day and lending a helping hand to those in need. He was a loving father and grandfather and is survived by his grandchildren Sam and Christopher. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
