

She was born in the Bronx on July 25, 1918, to Joseph and Linda Celli. Doris married Frank R. Lang on July 19, 1946, and remained happily married until Frank’s death in 1982. Widowed for 42 years, Doris is survived by her children Judi and Russell and her beloved grandchildren Michael and Cristina Lang.
Doris always possessed a thirst for learning new things. She spoke English and Italian and studied Spanish for many years to become fluent in that as well.
She led a healthy lifestyle, cooking and eating healthy foods, exercising, doing aerobics, and overall fitness were very important to her. She also enjoyed swimming, bowling, dancing, horseback riding and long brisk walks.
As a creative and talented artist, she enjoyed many different forms of arts and crafts including painting, ceramics, sewing and dressmaking, knitting, crocheting, macrame and even furniture reupholstering.
An amazing cook and baker, Doris also worked as a professional specialty caterer for private events. She was the best of the best.
For entertainment Doris enjoyed travel, cruises, live performances and shows, and of course, music. She was a pretty good singer herself.
She loved being active in her church and volunteered her time helping others in many other venues as well.
Doris was loved so much by so many, not just her family but also friends and neighbors, most of whom have sadly passed on. She was also an animal lover, and they all loved her so much as well. She will be deeply missed...
